About the certification

ACCA Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA) is a Strategic Professional level optional paper. It builds on the Audit and Assurance (AA) syllabus and develops the higher-order judgement needed to lead complex audit engagements — group audits, transnational assurance, ethics, quality management and current audit issues. AAA is the qualification of choice for aspiring audit managers and partners in Big 4 and global firms.

Exam Structure

Section A — Case Study
Compulsory 50-mark case based on a real-world audit scenario — planning, risk, evidence, reporting.
Section B — Optional Questions
Two from three 25-mark questions covering completion, reporting and current issues.
Duration & Format
3 hours 15 minutes computer-based exam (CBE). Pass mark 50%. Four exam windows per year.
